Tropical ant from Thailand with small colonies (100–200 workers). Big-headed majors crack seeds: seeds (plus a few oily ones), small insects and a little sugar. Semi-claustral founding: the queen must be fed. No hibernation, 24–28 °C, 60–80% humidity. Best for experienced keepers. Can accept several queens.

| WORKERS | PROTEIN | SUGAR | SEEDS |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1 fruit fly · Every 5 days | 1 drop · Every 4 days | 0.01 g / week |
| 50 | 4 fruit flies · Every 4 days | 1 drop · Every 3 days | 0.04 g / week |
| 150 | 3 juvenile crickets · Every 3 days | 4 drops · Every 3 days | 0.1 g / week |
| 400 | ½ medium cricket · Every 3 days | 10 drops · Every 3 days | 0.3 g / week |
1 fruit fly ≈ a 2–3 mm insect; a medium cricket (1 cm) is about 50 fruit flies. 1 drop ≈ 0.05 mL.
Adjust to what you see: if food is left after 24 h, give less; if it all goes fast and the brood grows, give more.
Semi-claustral founding: the queen forages, so feed her (1 small prey and 1 drop of sugar a week).
No hibernation: keep it warm all year.
